Privacy policy

CX LMS is a training platform made by Capability X. This policy describes what information the platform handles when your organization runs its training here, and what we do and do not do with it.
What we collect
Account details you or your employer provide: name, email address and language preference. Training records the platform creates as courses are taken: enrollments, progress, scores, completion dates and the certificates issued from them. Messages you send us through the contact form. That is the list; we do not collect browsing history, advertising identifiers or anything from third-party trackers.
How it is used
To run the service: signing you in, recording your training, issuing certificates and sending the emails the platform sends (invitations, password resets, completion notices). Training records are visible to your organization’s administrators, which is the point of the product. We do not sell or share personal information with anyone else.
Cookies
The platform sets two cookies, and both exist to do something you asked for:
- cx_session keeps you signed in. It lasts up to 7 days, or only until the browser closes if you did not choose Remember me.
- cx-lang remembers the language you chose, English or French, for one year.
- Your browser also keeps your light or dark theme choice and a small cache of already-loaded pages in its own local storage, until you clear your browsing data.
- Courses open on SCORM Cloud, the service that plays the course files. It sets its own cookies on its own site, needed for the player to work.
None of this is advertising, analytics or tracking of any kind. That is also why there is no cookie consent banner here: consent is required for non-essential cookies, and the platform uses only essential ones.
The platform emails you about your own account and training: invitations, password resets and completion notices. There is no marketing list, and nothing you do here subscribes you to one.
Where data lives
Data is stored with reputable cloud providers and encrypted in transit. Certificates and training records are kept for as long as your organization uses the service, because proving a completion years later is what they are for. When an organization leaves, its data is deleted on request.
Your choices
You can see and update your name, language and password from your profile. For access to your training records, corrections, or deletion of your account, ask your organization’s administrator or write to us; we answer either way.
